Kaity and Dave at Tamarack’s Mid-Mountain Lodge
Kaity and Dave’s day was full of personality and adventure, and we wanted their flowers to feel the same! Stunning fall blooms, including amaranthus and limelight hydrangeas, were the highlights of their bouquets. Their green and mocha mousse inspired palette was perfect for their mountain wedding.
Kaity and Dave’s wedding was all about creating something that felt earthy, textural, and completely original. The couple wanted florals that didn’t feel overdone or pulled from a typical Pinterest board; they were drawn to something more grounded and reflective of their outdoorsy style. We leaned into rich fall tones and unexpected elements, layering in green amaranthus, locally grown limelight hydrangeas, grasses, smoke bush, and other textural accents. The result felt natural but elevated, with movement and depth that gave each arrangement a slightly wild, organic edge.
The setting made it even more special. The very first wedding held at Tamarack Resort’s new mid-mountain lodge, the entire experience started with guests taking a ski lift up to the venue overlooking the lake. That sense of arrival set the tone for the day - immersive, scenic, and a bit adventurous. The florals complemented the surroundings rather than competing with them, echoing the landscape with soft greens, muted fall hues, and plenty of texture. The ceremony design responded to that setting with restraint; pedestals topped with cloud-like hydrangea arrangements and textural blooms, grounded by lower clusters at their base. The scale was intentional, framing the couple without competing with the view, and allowing the surroundings to remain a central part of the moment.
Throughout the design, the focus stayed on creating moments that felt unique and personal. From the ceremony to the reception, the florals carried that same balance of refined and natural, using locally sourced elements to ground the design. It was a perfect example of how leaning into texture, seasonality, and environment can create something that feels completely different - elevated without losing the outdoorsy feel the couple loved.
